Brimfield Community Access (BCA) is the public access television operation serving Brimfield, Massachusetts, a rural town in Hampden County in the Pioneer Valley near the Connecticut border.
BCA operates on Charter (Spectrum) cable with channels for public and community programming, government meetings and official communication, and productions from Tantasqua Regional School, as well as a web channel at 24/7. The organization has been working to restore and improve recording and broadcast capabilities and increase live video coverage of town meetings while enabling greater transparency and public participation.
Brimfield residents rely on BCA for coverage of town government meetings and the kind of hyperlocal civic access that keeps this small rural community connected to its own governance - covering selectboard meetings and community events in a town that shares its regional school district with neighboring communities.
