About this hub
Waterloo Public Access Television is the community media organization serving Waterloo, Iowa, the county seat of Black Hawk County and the second-largest city in Iowa, providing PEG access television for this northeastern Iowa industrial city and the commercial hub of the Cedar Valley region.
The organization provides public access cable television for Waterloo residents, covering city council and government meetings and offering community members the opportunity to produce and broadcast locally focused programming that reflects the diverse and historically significant community of this Iowa city.
Waterloo residents - in a city with a significant African American community, strong union traditions rooted in the Rath Packing plant era, and ongoing efforts to build economic opportunity in a post-industrial economy - rely on public access television for the government coverage and community programming that connects one of Iowa's most historically complex cities to its own civic life.
