Community Access Media (CAM Erie) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit community media center authorized by the City of Erie, Pennsylvania to administer the public access channel, incorporated in 1996 as Community Access Television and rebranded as CAM in 2019 to reflect its expanded multimedia mission.
CAM operates on Spectrum Cable Channel 1021 and VNET Fiber Channel 2, with additional streaming on Apple TV, Roku, and camerie.org, and offers a full range of media production training including HD studio production, field camera, video editing, podcasting, green screen, and digital photography. The organization provides equipment, studio facilities, and expertise to community members and nonprofits, covers Erie City Council meetings and local government proceedings, livestreams major community events like Celebrate Erie and the Blues and Jazz Festival, and runs youth media programs.
Erie residents know CAM as the only channel in the region that cablecasts full-length, original, locally produced non-news programs - a community media center where the diverse voices of a mid-sized Lake Erie city find a broadcast home that commercial television in Erie has rarely provided.
