BNN / Boston Community Access and Programming Foundation

Boston Neighborhood Network (BNN) is a nationally recognized nonprofit community media center that has served as Boston's public access television operation since 1983, providing a platform for the city's extraordinarily diverse neighborhoods and communities.

BNN operates two community television channels - News and Information (Xfinity 9, RCN 15, Fios 2161) and Community TV (Xfinity 23, RCN 83, Fios 2160) - plus community radio station WBCA-LP 102.9 FM, reaching over 150,000 Boston households. The organization operates two television studios, digital field production and editing equipment, a multimedia lab, and a mobile production van, and offers affordable media training to Boston residents, nonprofits, and community organizations. BNN produces more than 1,000 programs annually in more than a dozen languages including Spanish, French, Haitian Creole, Amharic, Arabic, Chinese, Cape Verdean Creole, and Vietnamese.

Boston's neighborhoods use BNN to broadcast the community conversations, health and human services information, cultural programming, and civic discourse that reflect a city of extraordinary diversity - content that commercial Boston television has rarely made room for in more than four decades of community media.
