Hōʻike Kauaʻi Community Media

Hōʻike Kauaʻi Community Media - whose name means "to show or display" in Hawaiian - is a private nonprofit 501(c)(3) public, educational, and government access television organization serving the entire island of Kauaʻi, Hawaii, funded through a franchise agreement with the island's cable operator and operating from Līhuʻe.

Hōʻike operates two cable channels - Channel 54 (public access) and Channel 53 (government access) - and produces original in-house programming including the Hōʻike Weekly, Kauaʻi Voices, Community Connections, Talkin' Trash, and Island Alert, while also providing training, equipment, and a professional studio for community producers to create and broadcast their own content. The organization streams all content online and maintains a video-on-demand library, and also operates a podcast studio.

Kauaʻi residents across the Garden Isle rely on Hōʻike for the island-specific community programming and government coverage that the major Honolulu stations never provide - locally produced content that reflects the distinct culture, environment, and community character of Hawaii's northernmost major island.
