About this hub
Lake Minnetonka Communications Commission (LMCC) is a community television agency formed by a joint powers agreement among eleven communities surrounding Lake Minnetonka in the western suburbs of the Twin Cities, providing high-quality PEG access programming for member cities on Mediacom cable.
LMCC produces original programming including a monthly talk show, the Lake Lore history series exploring forgotten stories of Lake Minnetonka's past, First Responder TV, Around the Lake, and Talking Points, as well as comprehensive coverage of city council and school board meetings for all eleven member communities. The organization also offers production workshops and recognizes outstanding community producers each year, and covers high school sports, community events, parades, and concerts throughout the lake region.
Residents of the Lake Minnetonka communities - including Spring Park, Shorewood, Long Lake, Deephaven, Orono, and their neighbors around one of the Twin Cities' most beloved recreational lakes - rely on LMCC for the government transparency and community storytelling that keep a cluster of distinct lakeside municipalities connected to their shared civic infrastructure.
