CreaTV San Jose is the nonprofit community media organization serving San Jose, California - the largest city in the San Francisco Bay Area and the capital of Silicon Valley - providing PEG access television and media education for residents of one of the most diverse and economically dynamic cities in the country.
CreaTV operates community access cable channels and a production facility in San Jose, offering training, studio access, and equipment for community members, nonprofits, and government agencies to produce programming, and covers San Jose City Council meetings and community events. The organization serves a city of more than one million people with a rich mix of immigrant communities, tech workers, and longtime San Jose families.
San Jose residents rely on CreaTV for the locally produced community programming that gives voice to the Vietnamese, Mexican, Filipino, and other immigrant communities that make San Jose one of the most ethnically diverse cities in America - programming that commercial media in the valley rarely provides.

Preserving Public Access TV History
A long-lost piece of community media history now lives in the Community Media Archive: ACM The Campaign for Media Democracy, a set of interviews from the 1998 ACM National Conference in Portland, Oregon about the effort to protect and expand public access television. The footage was created by Chad Johnston when he was at Antioch, studying with the legendary Bob Devine.
