About this hub
Community Media Network (CMNtv) is a nonprofit public access television station and community media center based in Troy, Michigan, serving eleven southeastern Oakland County communities since its founding in 1983 as the Oakland County Cable Communications Corporation.
CMNtv broadcasts on Comcast and WOW Cable Channel 18 for Auburn Hills, Berkley, Clawson, Ferndale, Huntington Woods, Oakland Township, Pleasant Ridge, Rochester, Rochester Hills, Royal Oak, and Troy, reaching nearly 140,000 households. The organization provides free and low-cost production training through its Production Certification Series, offers studio space, editing stations, and remote production equipment, covers high school sports and graduations for member school districts, and provides on-air time for the wide range of community-produced programming that reflects the diversity of metropolitan Detroit's northern suburbs.
Southeast Oakland County residents use CMNtv to produce programming that crosses the municipal boundaries of eleven distinct communities - from sports coverage and religious programs to civic affairs and cultural content that reflects the full range of voices in one of Michigan's most populous suburban corridors.
