PEGTV / Rutland Region Community Television

PEGTV (Rutland Region Community Television) is the independent community media organization serving Rutland County, Vermont, tracing its origins to public access television in Rutland from the early 1970s, formally incorporated in 1993, and reaching approximately 20,000 homes across 18 Rutland County towns from its state-of-the-art facility at the Howe Center.

PEGTV operates three channels on local cable systems - Channel 1075 (public community programming), Channel 1085 (government meetings and community bulletin board), and Channel 1095 (educational programming) - covering Rutland City Council, selectboard meetings for surrounding towns, school board sessions, local festivals and parades, cooking shows, historical programming like Historically Speaking, and public affairs content. The organization built a purpose-designed studio complex in 2005 after outgrowing space at the Stafford Technical Center.

Rutland County residents - across the Marble Valley's post-industrial landscape, from the city of Rutland to Brandon, Castleton, Fair Haven, Killington, and Poultney - rely on PEGTV for the government transparency and community programming that connect Vermont's second-largest county to its own democratic institutions in a region that commercial television consistently underserves.
