Cape Ann’s Community Media Center

1623 Studios is Cape Ann's community media center, based in Gloucester, Massachusetts. The organization serves the communities of Gloucester, Rockport, Manchester-by-the-Sea, and Essex, providing local media coverage, production support, and cable access service for the region.

The station supports local government, schools, community organizations, independent producers, and residents through local programming, production resources, training, cable channels, online distribution, and event coverage. Its work helps the four Cape Ann communities see and hear local stories that are specific to the region's civic, cultural, and coastal identity.

As a regional community media center, 1623 Studios reflects the way PEG access can serve multiple towns while still remaining deeply local. It gives Cape Ann a shared media platform for public meetings, community storytelling, and the everyday record of life in a distinctive North Shore region.
