About the station
Ashland Cable Access (WACA TV) is an independent nonprofit community media center incorporated in 1985 and serving Ashland, Massachusetts, a MetroWest suburb southwest of Boston.
WACA TV operates three PEG channels - public, education, and government - providing cable access programming on Channels 8, 10, 11, and 22 for Ashland residents. The organization provides equipment, studio access, and production support, and distributes content through online video on demand, podcasts, and social media platforms.
Ashland residents know WACA TV as the place where selectboard and school committee meetings have been recorded and aired since the station's earliest days - local government transparency that has been a cornerstone of the organization's mission for four decades.
