BRIC is a Brooklyn-based nonprofit arts and media organization founded in 1979 that operates Brooklyn Free Speech TV, the borough's public access television network, alongside BRIC TV, a 24/7 nonprofit community television channel, and a wide range of visual arts, performance, and education programs.

Brooklyn Free Speech operates five cable channels on Optimum (channels 67-70) and is open to all Brooklyn residents and organizations who want to create and air their own programming, with free training, studio access, and equipment available through the BRIC Media Center at BRIC House in the Brooklyn Cultural District. BRIC TV produces original Emmy Award-winning programming including local news, scripted series, documentaries, and arts content, while Brooklyn Free Speech Radio operates as the borough's community podcast network. The organization also runs the free summer BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! festival in Prospect Park and a nationally recognized school-based media education program reaching thousands of NYC public school students.

Brooklynites who have gone on to careers in media and the arts have often passed through BRIC's training programs, and the borough's extraordinary diversity of voices - from neighborhood activists and faith communities to artists and first-generation immigrants - has found expression on Brooklyn Free Speech's channels for more than three decades.
