About this hub
Bedford TV (formerly BCAT, Bedford Community Access Television) is a nonprofit membership-based community access television station serving the Town of Bedford, Massachusetts, a suburb northwest of Boston in Middlesex County.
Operating from its studio at Old Town Hall on South Road, Bedford TV broadcasts on Comcast channels 8, 9, and 22 and Verizon channels 38, 39, and 40, providing public, educational, and government programming including live and recorded coverage of town and school committee meetings, community forums, election coverage, arts and cultural programming, and locally produced shows. A community bulletin board service runs on the cable system for nonprofit announcements.
Bedford residents look to Bedford TV for live coverage of Select Board, School Committee, and Planning Board meetings, sports coverage from Bedford High School, and homegrown programs like Starfish Storytellers and The Bedford Tavern - the local media that keeps a civically engaged small town connected to its own story.
