About this hub
Katharsis Media is a nonprofit arts and media organization based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Its work combines film and television production, performing arts, community storytelling, workforce development, and creative career pathways for local artists and media makers.
The organization provides services for creatives, training and career opportunities, studio and media resources, and content connected to Albuquerque's cultural life. Its current work includes arts programming, production activity, and NMED Channel 96, with a mission to educate, entertain, and inspire the community through the arts.
Katharsis Media reflects a hybrid edge of the community media field: less a traditional PEG center and more a community-rooted creative media organization using production, training, and local platforms to support artists, storytellers, and cultural workers.
