About this hub
The Lansing Public Media Center (LPMC) is a community media facility operated by the City of Lansing, Michigan, providing public access television on cable channel 16 and streaming, production resources, and media education for residents of Michigan's state capital.
LPMC offers a fully equipped production studio, equipment for loan, monthly Production 101 training classes, and membership access that gives community members tools to tell Lansing's stories through TV, video, and film. City TV, the government access component, broadcasts Lansing City Council meetings live and covers a wide variety of city government programming. The center opened in a new model after Comcast ceased providing public access studio space, repositioning public media squarely under city leadership.
Lansing residents - in a diverse capital city navigating economic transition from its automotive manufacturing roots - rely on LPMC for the government transparency and community media access that connect a complex, multi-neighborhood city to its own stories and civic life.
