About this hub
LA CityView is the City of Los Angeles's government access television media station, launched in 1989 under the direction of City Council as "CouncilVision" and later rebranded, producing and broadcasting government and educational programming for over three decades from its production facility at City Hall.
LA CityView 35 provides 24-hour cable coverage of Los Angeles City Council meetings, Police Commission, Fire Commission, Harbor Commission, Department of Water and Power Commission, and Airport Commission meetings, and produces original programming covering city milestones and community events. The award-winning operation has covered six mayoral administrations and nearly seventy council members, bringing transparency and government access to Angelenos through cable, online platforms, and social media.
Los Angeles residents across the nation's second-largest city rely on LA CityView for the council votes, commission decisions, and city government transparency that keep millions of Angelenos connected to the municipal decisions shaping neighborhoods from Watts to Westwood - civic television that operates at a scale matched by few government access channels in the country.
