Community Focus / Western Reserve Cable Television Consortium

Macedonia, OH · CBL9

Visit website →

Community Focus is the PEG access television station for seven northeast Ohio communities in the Western Reserve region southeast of Cleveland, operating under the nonprofit Western Reserve Cable Television Consortium since 1981 and formerly known as Cable 9.

Broadcasting on Spectrum Channel 1021 and through the Community Focus app, the station produces more than 100 hours of weekly local programming for Aurora, Macedonia, Northfield Center, Reminderville, Sagamore Hills, Twinsburg, and Twinsburg Township. The station covers mayor's reports, city council meetings, high school sports, and a wide variety of community content, and has twice been named Best Local Origination Station in the USA.

Residents of this cluster of northeast Ohio suburban and rural communities know Community Focus as the source for mayor's reports, school sports coverage, and council meeting recordings that keep seven distinct communities - each with its own civic identity - connected to each other and to their own governments in a region where local television otherwise barely exists.

On air since 1981
