About this hub
Access Sacramento is a nonprofit community media center serving Sacramento County, California, incorporated in 1986 to provide media education, production resources, and noncommercial broadcast platforms to residents across the region.
The center offers hands-on training in video production, podcasting, and filmmaking, with content distributed on cable channels 17 and 18 on Comcast and Consolidated Communications, channel 14 on AT&T U-verse, and streaming via accesssacramento.org, Roku, Apple TV, and Amazon Fire TV. It also operates low-power FM station KUBU 96.5, produces the long-running A Place Called Sacramento film festival, and has earned multiple Western Access Video Excellence awards for its community productions.
Sacramento residents and nonprofits have long used Access Sacramento to tell stories commercial media doesn't cover - from refugee and immigrant voices to local arts and neighborhood issues - and the center has become a recognized workforce development resource for the region's creative economy.
