Nā Leo o Hawaiʻi / Nā Leo TV

Nā Leo o Hawaiʻi is the nonprofit organization that has managed Hawaiʻi Island's sole public, educational, and governmental (PEG) access television station since 1994, operating Nā Leo TV from studios in both Hilo and Kailua-Kona to serve the Big Island's geographically vast and culturally diverse communities.

Broadcasting on Spectrum Cable Channels 53 (community), 54 (community), and 55 (government), as well as through naleo.tv and a mobile app, Nā Leo TV produces original programming including cooking shows, art programs, town hall meetings, county council meetings, sports coverage, and youth content, while training certified Community Creators to use the organization's state-of-the-art equipment, studios, and edit bays. The organization has expanded youth engagement through its annual Youth Media Challenge and partners with schools and nonprofits across the island.

Big Island residents - across a 4,028 square-mile island of extraordinary geographic and cultural diversity, from the rain forests of the Hilo side to the dry lava fields of Kona, from the summit of Mauna Kea to the active lava flows of the lower East Rift Zone - rely on Nā Leo TV for the community storytelling and government coverage that binds together a population spread across one of the most geographically challenging counties in the United States.
