CCTV Center for Media & Democracy / Town Meeting TV

CCTV Center for Media and Democracy is a nonprofit community media center located in the Old North End of Burlington, Vermont, that has been documenting the stories of the greater Burlington community since its founding in 1984, and is home to Town Meeting TV, Chittenden County's government access television station.

Town Meeting TV, launched in 1990, airs more than 100 hours of public meetings, election coverage, and community events each month on Comcast Channel 1087 and Burlington Telecom channels 17 and 217, covering municipal meetings across Burlington, South Burlington, Williston, Winooski, and other Chittenden County communities. CCTV also operates a production services arm, maintains an extensive archive of more than four decades of Vermont community programming, runs youth media programs, and has housed the Vermont Language Justice Project serving refugee and immigrant communities.

Vermont residents across Chittenden County know CCTV and Town Meeting TV as the essential source for Town Meeting Day coverage, local election results, candidate forums, and the Burlington City Council and selectboard meetings that shape civic life in this politically engaged corner of New England.
