About the station
TV Santa Barbara is the community media organization serving Santa Barbara, California, a South Coast city between the Santa Ynez Mountains and the Pacific Ocean known for its Spanish Colonial Revival architecture, wine country, and one of the most beautiful settings of any California city, providing PEG access television since 1981.
The organization provides public, educational, and government access cable television for Santa Barbara residents, covering City Council and government meetings and offering community members training and production resources to create and broadcast locally focused programming that reflects the complex reality of a community balancing extraordinary natural beauty, significant wealth, and a substantial working-class population.
Santa Barbara residents rely on TV Santa Barbara for the government coverage and community programming that connects the full range of a city's residents - from the university community of UCSB to the Latino neighborhoods of the Eastside, from the wine industry workers to the downtown arts community - to their own civic institutions and to each other.
