Andrea Hogan

Andrea Hogan built her community media career at Watertown Cable Access Corp. in Watertown, Massachusetts, starting in operational and technical roles supporting automation, video-on-demand, and channel operations before moving into station leadership. After serving as interim executive director she was selected as executive director in 2023, bringing to the role a deep operational knowledge of how a small community media center actually functions from the inside. She received the ACM's Emerging Leader Award in 2022.

WCA-TV serves Watertown as a public, educational, and government access operation, providing local residents and organizations with production support, channel access, and civic media services in a community whose public media infrastructure depends on the station staying functional and locally focused.

Andrea's path from technical operations to station leadership is one of the more common trajectories in community media, and her work at WCA-TV reflects what it takes to keep a small station running with the combination of operational skill and civic commitment the job requires.
