BronxNet Community Affairs Leader

Current 2020-present

Audrey Duncan is a community media leader and advocate at BronxNet, the public access organization serving the Bronx, New York, where she has been part of the station's community affairs work since its early years. She serves on the ACM national board and represents BronxNet through the ACM Northeast Region board, connecting the station's local civic work to regional and national field leadership. BronxNet serves 1.4 million Bronx residents through multiple channels covering community affairs, arts and culture, public affairs, and local government programming, making it one of the larger urban community media operations in the country.

Her board service at both the national and regional levels reflects the kind of dual engagement that strengthens both the stations and the field: bringing BronxNet's urban community media perspective into national conversations while connecting the station to the peer network that community media organizations depend on.

Audrey's advocacy work at BronxNet and through ACM reflects the field's core argument: that media access for communities like the Bronx is not a niche service but a democratic necessity.
