Katie Duval

Katie Duval is a video producer, director, and community media executive associated with Medfield TV in Medfield, Massachusetts, and a leader in MassAccess, the statewide organization that advocates for and supports public access centers across Massachusetts. Her work connects local access television, production, organizational leadership, and the statewide collaboration that has made Massachusetts one of the more organized community media environments in the country.

Medfield TV serves a small Massachusetts town with the local programming, government coverage, and community media services that residents in communities without active access stations often cannot access, and Katie's leadership there reflects the commitment that keeps small-town community media centers functioning as genuine civic resources.

Her statewide involvement through MassAccess connects that local work to the policy and funding arguments that determine whether stations like Medfield survive their next franchise cycle, and reflects the dual accountability that the field's strongest practitioners carry: to their own community and to the field that makes their work possible.
