About this hub
Cambridge Community Television (CCTV) is a nationally recognized nonprofit community media center that has served Cambridge, Massachusetts since 1988, operating three cable channels and providing media training, equipment access, and production support to one of the most intellectually and culturally dynamic cities in the country.
CCTV operates three channels on Comcast (8, 9, 96) and streams programming 24 hours a day, offering training in media production and emerging technology, access to professional equipment and studio facilities, production services for nonprofits and educators, and youth media programs including a School Year Production Program and Cambridge Digital Navigator initiative. Located in Central Square at the heart of the city, CCTV produces award-winning original programming and facilitates community dialogue on Cambridge's complex mix of housing pressures, academic culture, arts, and political engagement.
Cambridge residents - students, long-term residents, activists, artists, and the city's many immigrant communities - use CCTV to produce programming in their own voices, follow city government, and participate in a media platform that has been documenting and shaping Cambridge's community life for more than three decades.
