Nancy Richard

Nancy Richard is a longtime community media leader whose work has been rooted in Massachusetts and the public access tradition of local service. Through Plymouth Area Community Television, she helped sustain the kind of community media center that gives residents, organizations, schools, and local government a practical way to communicate with one another. Her work reflects the steady leadership that often defines the field: training people, supporting local production, keeping civic information visible, and making sure community media remains useful to the place it serves.

Nancy's contribution also extended beyond Plymouth through regional and national field service. She was active with the ACM Northeast Region and, in 2009, received the ACM's Sue Miller Buske Leadership Award. That recognition places her among the leaders whose work helped strengthen community media not only through local station management, but through the shared professional networks that kept access centers learning from one another, advocating together, and carrying the field through periods of change.
